JOGS ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING 2023

Originally scheduled for 25th November 2023, the event was regrettably postponed due to safety concerns arising from the disturbances in Dublin on 24th November 2023 to prioritise the wellbeing of our valued delegates, JOGS Committee Members and RCPI staff. While logistics limited us from precisely replicating the original day, the JOGS Committee had rigorously planned to ensure that we retain the essential elements and spirit of the meeting in this reimagined experience of the JOGS Annual Scientific Meeting 2023 where we celebrated an extraordinary milestone - our 35th anniversary since the society's founding in 1988.

The momentous occasion allowing us to look forward to the future of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and to honour our rich history was marked by a special message by a co-founder of JOGS; Professor David Cahill.
So many years ago it seems we started off this little group  of O&G trainees, to try to band us together, to give us an opportunity to present our work in a non-threatening environment and to have a good social interaction, so that we all knew each other. Those were hard times for trainees - late 1980s - but I am so delighted that you are continuing and you have reached the age of 35, how good.
